Arizona Cardinals left tackle Paris Johnson Jr. tore his left biceps on the final drive of Sunday's 36-24 loss to the New York Giants and will miss the rest of the season, coach Mike LaFleur said Monday. The play was first down at the New York 4-yard line; edge rusher Abdul Carter beat Johnson, who grabbed his left arm and walked off. LaFleur said surgery will happen soon and that Johnson will go on injured reserve. It is the third consecutive season Johnson's year has ended early due to injury. The Cardinals are 1-3 after three straight losses. Rookie seventh-round pick Jayden Williams is expected to start at left tackle. LaFleur said he is really impressed with Williams, calling him wise beyond his years and saying the team has a lot of confidence in him. Josh Fryar, who appeared in 12 games last year at both tackle spots, is another option and was a healthy inactive Sunday. Safety Wingard left after the third defensive play with a knee injury ESPN reported as a bone bruise; LaFleur called it positive news with no timeline. Right guard Isaiah Adams has an ankle injury and is not ruled out for Detroit; Jon Gaines II would start if he cannot play.
