The Philadelphia Eagles are signing former Indianapolis Colts defensive back Kenny Moore II to their practice squad on a one-year contract worth up to $3 million, with an expected promotion to the 53-man roster. Moore, 31, was a 2021 Pro Bowl selection and spent nine seasons with the Colts after entering the NFL undrafted. He has recorded 21 interceptions, 68 passes defensed and 11.5 sacks in 132 career games, primarily as a nickel cornerback. He is expected to contribute at both slot corner and safety under defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, addressing scrutiny at safety after Marcus Epps struggled in Philadelphia’s Week 2 victory over Tennessee. The move also follows Atlanta’s decision to poach Eagles practice-squad cornerback Robert Longerbeam, and Philadelphia will evaluate Moore’s conditioning and fit before assigning him a larger game-day role.
