Rams Defeat Giants 28-6 as Donald Returns

The Los Angeles Rams defeated the New York Giants 28-6, improving to 1-1 while both teams entered the game 0-1. Matthew Stafford threw for 327 yards and four touchdowns, and Davante Adams caught eight passes for 195 yards and two touchdowns, as the Rams outgained New York 481-182. Aaron Donald made an emotional return to the NFL after 32 months away and recorded three tackles, while Stafford moved into sixth place on the NFL’s career passing-touchdown list with 426 and Adams moved to seventh all time with 119 receiving touchdowns. Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart suffered a left-knee injury on the opening drive, with an MCL sprain suspected pending an MRI, and New York also lost Brian Burns, Malik Nabers and Andrew Thomas to injuries. Jameis Winston replaced Dart and threw for 111 yards with an interception as the Giants struggled offensively and in the red zone. The Rams played without injured stars Puka Nacua and Myles Garrett.
