The Chicago Bears are preparing for Monday night’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles with major uncertainty at quarterback. Veteran Case Keenum took first-team reps Wednesday and is currently the only active Bears quarterback practicing, making him the leading candidate to start despite not appearing in a regular-season game since December 2023. Rookie Caleb Williams is dealing with a hamstring injury, while backup Tyson Bagent has entered the NFL’s concussion protocol after replacing Williams in Sunday’s loss to Minnesota. Coach Ben Johnson has not ruled out either player and said the team will wait for medical updates, but he praised Keenum’s experience, preparation and leadership. Chicago also has undrafted rookie Miller Moss on its practice squad and does not currently plan to add another quarterback.

Whose framing of this story rings truest to you?
Johnson waiting until game time makes sense but the offense could stall without Williams.
They need to activate Moss from the practice squad instead of rolling with just Keenum.
Keenum starting against the Eagles feels like a big risk with no recent game reps.
