Seahawks’ Smith-Njigba Leads NFL With 405 Yards
Jaxon Smith-Njigba has opened the season with 405 receiving yards and six touchdowns in three games, leading the NFL in yards and putting him on a record-setting pace. He has reached at least 100 yards and a touchdown in each game; another such performance against the Chargers would match Randy Moss’s Super Bowl-era record for the longest streak to start a season. Smith-Njigba accounts for nearly half of Seattle’s receiving yards, a concentration the Seahawks’ coaches appear comfortable with, while the team’s offense also relies on other playmakers. Teammates and coaches praise his all-around contributions, work ethic and humility as he builds on his previous standout season.
