Jets Snap NFL-Record 20-Game Interception Drought
Minkah Fitzpatrick ended the New York Jets’ record 20-game interception drought by picking off Bears quarterback Tyson Bagent in the second quarter Sunday. The turnover gave the Jets possession at Chicago’s 34-yard line, leading to a field goal; an earlier apparent interception by defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat had been nullified by a penalty. The Jets had gone the entire 2025 season without an interception, and the drought had drawn attention as the defense struggled to generate takeaways.
