Jevon Holland intercepted Cam Ward near the goal line in the final seconds to seal the Giants' 12-7 win over the Titans. The pick came on first-and-goal from the 7 after Tennessee drove 70 yards in the final 3:03 with two timeouts still available. Ward rolled left out of the pocket and threw across his body toward Elic Ayomanor; the ball was underthrown. The Titans fell to 0-3. Their only score was a 4-yard touchdown from Ward to Wan'Dale Robinson with 5:35 left. A third-quarter drive of 68 yards in nine plays to the New York 7 ended on three incompletions without points. Ward said, "I think I just should've threw it higher." He said Ayomanor won the scramble drill and, "I don't think it was reckless. I think you know it just wasn't a good ball at the end of the day." He said he probably would have thrown it out of bounds and lived another play. Layman put :17 on the clock; Sports Illustrated described under 30 seconds. Ward said what keeps him going is knowing he has another opportunity to win next week, and that the team has another chance to prove who they really are.
