Chiefs Rally Past Raiders 30-27 After Kubiak Guarantee

The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Las Vegas Raiders 30-27 on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026, at Allegiant Stadium. With Las Vegas leading 13-10 at half, Raiders coach Klint Kubiak told CBS sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson, "We're going to win the game." He later said, "That's how I felt, so I just said what I felt." Early in the third quarter, Matthew Gay made a 41-yard field goal before a Chiefs illegal-formation flag. Kubiak accepted the penalty, wiped out the kick, and went for it on fourth-and-2 from the Chiefs 18. Kirk Cousins' pass to Ashton Jeanty was incomplete. Kubiak said, "I don't regret it. I regret not getting it." The Raiders led 13-10 entering the fourth; Kansas City scored three touchdowns in the period. Patrick Mahomes went 15 of 30 for 225 yards and two touchdowns. Cousins threw for 365 yards and two scores. Kenneth Walker ran for a career-high 177 yards and two fourth-quarter touchdowns. Contested: Rated outlets do not dispute the score, guarantee, or fourth-down sequence. Andy Reid benched Kingsley Suamataia for Mike Caliendo and said it was "between Kingsley and I." Rashee Rice exited with a hamstring injury on the Chiefs' second drive.
