Eagles' Barkley Leaves Rams Game With Hamstring Injury
Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley left Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams in the first quarter after pulling up during a run. He went to the sideline, was examined in the medical tent, and walked to the locker room. The Eagles ruled him questionable to return. Adam Schefter reported that Barkley has a hamstring injury and is questionable to return today. Daily Mail said Barkley earns in the region of $20 million a year and framed the early exit as a disaster for Philadelphia. OutKick medical expert Dr. David Chao linked higher hamstring-strain risk to wet field conditions, which he said protect against knee injuries but leave players more prone to soft-tissue harm. Fox/OutKick described an apparent right hamstring injury on the wet field. The Eagles were already without DeVonta Smith, Lane Johnson, Dallas Goedert and Marquise Brown; Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley were the available backups. Further evaluation would determine whether Barkley could return.
