Miami Beats Florida State in Double Overtime, Improves to 6-0

No. 3 Miami remained unbeaten, improving to 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the ACC with a 43-35 double-overtime win over Florida State. Darian Mensah threw for 326 yards and three touchdowns, Malachi Toney had 11 catches for 154 yards and two scores before throwing the winning two-point conversion to Cooper Barkate, and Javian Mallory rushed for 108 yards and two touchdowns. Florida State forced overtime with a late 75-yard touchdown pass from Ashton Daniels to Duce Robinson and took the lead in the first overtime before Miami answered. The game ended when a holding penalty erased a Florida State fourth-down touchdown and Bryce Fitzgerald’s end-zone interception was upheld on review. With No. 1 Georgia and No. 2 Notre Dame also losing, Miami could rise to No. 1 in the next AP poll.
