Tennessee's MacIntyre set for second start vs. Alabama

Tennessee will start sophomore George MacIntyre for a second consecutive game when the No. 14 Volunteers host No. 6 Alabama, as freshman Faizon Brandon continues recovering from a shoulder injury and remains questionable. In his first start, a win over Arkansas, MacIntyre threw for 247 yards and a touchdown but also had two interceptions; he will face an Alabama defense that has been among the nation’s best at forcing turnovers. The matchup could shape Tennessee’s quarterback plans, with a strong performance potentially solidifying MacIntyre’s role while a poor showing could reopen the competition.
