Eastern Michigan beat Akron 25-23 in a Mid-American Conference game on Oct. 10, 2026, at InfoCision Stadium in Akron, Ohio. Rudy Kessinger made four field goals for the Eagles, including the 48-yard game-winner with 1:50 remaining. Eastern Michigan improved to 4-3 overall and 3-0 in MAC play, its first 3-0 start to conference play since 1995. Akron fell to 1-5 overall and 0-2 in MAC play. Eastern Michigan's opening drive ended in a Kessinger field goal. Akron answered with a touchdown. Noah Kim scored on a fourth-and-goal touchdown plunge, and Brayden Roggow threw a touchdown pass to Marcel Williams to retake the lead. An interception off a tipped Eastern Michigan pass came before halftime. Akron later took a 23-22 lead on Roggow's third touchdown pass of the day. Matthew Schramm missed a 47-yard field goal with 19 seconds left on Akron's final chance. Kim completed 26 of 46 passes for 277 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Roggow completed 17 of 24 passes for 229 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions. Jordan Gant rushed for 117 yards on 22 carries for Akron.
