Oklahoma Upsets No. 1 Texas in Red River Rivalry
Unranked Oklahoma upset No. 1 Texas 27-24 in the 122nd Red River Rivalry, ending Texas’ unbeaten start and reclaiming the Golden Hat. Oklahoma’s defense and special teams scored on a blocked-punt recovery by Dakoda Fields and an interception return by Peyton Bowen. After Texas tied the game late, an Arch Manning interception with 19 seconds remaining set up Tate Sandell’s game-winning 47-yard field goal; John Mateer also connected with Isaiah Sategna on two key sideline completions. Oklahoma State separately beat UCF 42-28, rallying after a sluggish start and taking momentum with a fumble-return touchdown.
