Florida Rallies to Upset No. 7 Texas 27-24
Florida rallied from a 17-3 deficit to upset No. 7 Texas 27-24 in Austin, handing the Longhorns their second straight loss. Making his first career start because Aaron Philo was injured, Florida quarterback Tramell Jones Jr. threw two touchdown passes to Lacota Dippre, and Jadan Baugh scored the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter. Texas quarterback Arch Manning connected with Cam Coleman late after a 62-yard completion to Emmett Mosley V, but Myles Graham sacked Manning and forced a fumble on Texas’ final drive to seal Florida’s win. Manning finished 14-of-20 for 173 yards and a touchdown as Texas struggled to sustain its offense; coach Steve Sarkisian said the team would evaluate everything after the defeat. Texas also lost defensive standout Colin Simmons to a lower-leg injury, whose extent was not immediately known.
