Michigan Beats Penn State 21-18
Michigan beat Penn State 21-18 in Ann Arbor, handing the Nittany Lions their fourth straight loss and leaving them 0-4 in Big Ten play. Wolverines coach Kyle Whittingham replaced struggling quarterback Bryce Underwood with Tommy Carr in the third quarter, and Carr helped spark two touchdowns, including a 12-yard scoring run that put Michigan ahead by two scores. Underwood threw two interceptions before being benched. Penn State’s captains were quarterback Rocco Becht, offensive tackle Anthony Donkoh, linebacker Kooper Ebel and long snapper Blaise Sokach-Minnick, who served as captain for the second time this season.
