Missouri routs No. 8 Florida 45-17

Missouri defeated then-No. 8 Florida 45-17, the Tigers' first top-10 win since 2013 and the largest margin against a top-10 opponent in program history. Austin Simmons completed 23 of 30 passes for 340 yards and two touchdowns, including a 47-yard score to Donovan Olugbode on an early-snap broken play; Jamal Roberts added 211 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Missouri held Jadan Baugh to 13 yards on 12 carries. The Tigers rose from No. 25 to No. 14 in the AP Poll and No. 16 in the Coaches Poll; Florida fell from No. 8 to No. 16. Both teams are 4-1, with Florida 2-1 in the SEC after the first loss of the Jon Sumrall era. The score was tied with 4:26 left in the first half before Missouri pulled away, outscoring Florida 35-7 and outgaining it 414-155 over the final 34:26. Blake Craig's 50-yard field goal at the half made it 20-10. Coach Eliah Drinkwitz called pregame talk about ranked-game struggles social-media noise and said players, coaches, and teams are allowed to improve and a game does not define the season. Left-rated coverage stressed the poll leapfrog, homecoming blowout framing, and reaction to ranking skeptics; no right-rated outlets appeared in the rated set.
