MLB Moves ALCS Game 3, NLCS Game 4 Earlier

Major League Baseball moved Thursday’s ALCS Game 3 between the Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Guardians from 6 p.m. to 1 p.m. ET to avoid forecast rain in Cleveland and keep the series on schedule. The best-of-seven series is tied 1-1; Griffin Jax is expected to start for Tampa Bay and Gavin Williams for Cleveland. MLB also moved Thursday’s NLCS Game 4 between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers one hour earlier, to 8 p.m. ET; Milwaukee leads that series 2-0 heading into Game 3. Progressive Field gates are scheduled to open at 11 a.m., and tickets remain valid for the revised start time. Forecasts also raise the possibility of rain and strong winds for Friday’s scheduled ALCS Game 4.
