The Dodgers named Blake Snell their Game 2 NLDS starter against Atlanta after winning Game 1 5-3 on Oct. 3. Yoshinobu Yamamoto is set for Game 3 Tuesday in Atlanta. Snell went 4-1 with a 1.90 ERA and 55 strikeouts in nine starts after shoulder fatigue, elbow loose-body surgery and groin soreness, allowing five earned runs in 39 2/3 innings across his last eight starts. Dave Roberts said the move sets up the rotation and Yamamoto better looking forward. Teoscar Hernandez, Kyle Tucker and Max Muncy each homered in Game 1. Atlanta had not named a Game 2 starter. Walt Weiss said the Braves still had not decided and would have conversations, with Chris Sale under consideration after the final four outs in Thursday's wild-card win two days after 6 1/3 innings and 104 pitches. Reports differ on Tarik Skubal: some cite one hit over five scoreless innings; ClutchPoints says one run over six after he retired the first 15. Ozzie Albies hit a ninth-inning two-run homer. Snell said, "If you want to be a Hall of Famer, if you want to be a legend in the game, I think it all happens in October."

Yamamoto getting game three gives the Dodgers a nice advantage if they can steal one on the road early.
Skubal in game one and now Snell feels like the right order but Atlanta still has time to pick the best counter.
Snell looked sharp in September so this seems like a solid call to keep the momentum going into game two.
