Brewers Beat Dodgers in NLCS Opener
The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 2-1 in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series, taking the lead in a rematch between two 100-win teams. Brice Turang tied the game with a fourth-inning home run, and rookie Luis Lara drove in the go-ahead run in the fifth. Jacob Misiorowski allowed one run over 4⅓ innings, and Milwaukee’s bullpen held the Dodgers to two hits the rest of the way as Trevor Megill earned the save. Los Angeles stranded nine runners and went 1-for-6 with runners in scoring position; the win ended Milwaukee’s seven-game postseason losing streak against the Dodgers. Game 2 is scheduled for Monday in Milwaukee, with Yoshinobu Yamamoto set to start for Los Angeles against Logan Henderson.
