Dodgers Beat Braves 4-1, Gain NLCS Rest
After eliminating Atlanta in four games, the Dodgers have extra time to reset their pitching staff before opening the NL Championship Series against Milwaukee. Their starters allowed just four runs in the Division Series, and the added rest helps line up Tarik Skubal for Game 1 and Yoshinobu Yamamoto for Game 2, while giving the bullpen time to recover. The Dodgers also hope the break helps Shohei Ohtani, who struggled against Atlanta, and Freddie Freeman. Miguel Rojas, sidelined by back soreness, had an encouraging workout and an MRI showed no significant new concern, but manager Dave Roberts said the team had not decided whether he would be on the NLCS roster. Edwin Díaz also gets time to recover after recording saves on consecutive nights to close out the Braves series.
