Braves Rally Past Phillies in Wild Card Game 1

Atlanta rallied to beat Philadelphia 5-3 in Game 1 of their best-of-three National League Wild Card Series. Austin Riley’s three-run homer off closer Jhoan Duran in the eighth gave the Braves the lead after J.T. Realmuto’s two-run triple put the Phillies ahead 3-2 in the seventh; Alec Bohm had opened the scoring with an RBI double. Braves center fielder Michael Harris II had three hits, while Chris Sale and Jesús Luzardo pitched effectively for much of the game.
