Mariners’ 15 Arbitration Salaries Projected at $58.3M

Seattle’s 2027 payroll picture is shaped by a large arbitration class: 15 Mariners are eligible, with MLB Trade Rumors projecting about $54.4 million in salaries excluding Bryce Miller. Logan Gilbert’s projected $15.4 million is the highest figure, but one analysis argues it is reasonable enough to keep the right-hander rather than trade him, while Seattle also weighs extension and arbitration options. Other estimates put the 15-player group at $58.3 million when Miller’s projected arbitration salary is included; if his $6.075 million club option applies instead, the projected total for him and the other 14 players would be about $60.5 million. These projections are not settled contracts or automatic additions to current payroll, and options, non-tenders, trades, guaranteed deals and roster additions could materially change the final total. Although departing salaries could create room, one outlook estimates Seattle’s guaranteed salaries near $80 million before arbitration and cautions that the team may not substantially increase its overall 2027 spending.
