49ers Could Pursue Reunion With Jauan Jennings

Jauan Jennings’ limited production in Minnesota has fueled trade speculation, and NFL insider Ian Rapoport says discussions around the receiver could pick up in the coming days and weeks. Jennings has two catches for nine yards in four games with the Vikings, who signed Odell Beckham Jr. and have explored other receiver options. The 49ers, where Jennings spent five seasons, are dealing with multiple wide-receiver injuries, including Deebo Samuel’s hamstring injury, but one report says they expect injured players to return and can manage for a few games. San Francisco could still pursue a low-cost reunion with Jennings, though a 49ers-focused commentator has questioned whether he would improve the offense. A separate report cited new defensive coordinator Raheem Morris and offseason signing Mike Evans among the additions helping fuel the 49ers’ strong start.
