Eagles Face Panthers, Monitor Key Injuries

The 2-2 Carolina Panthers return from their bye to face the 2-3 Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6, who are trying to end a three-game losing streak after a narrow loss to Jacksonville. Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio says Bryce Young has improved his decision-making, anticipation and ability to escape pressure; Young threw for 329 yards and two touchdowns in Carolina’s latest win and has nine touchdown passes against two interceptions through four games. Receiver Tetairoa McMillan, who had 192 yards and two touchdowns in that win, and running back Chuba Hubbard give Carolina a productive offense. Philadelphia has personnel questions in its secondary and pass rush and is monitoring injuries to running backs Saquon Barkley and Will Shipley and receiver DeVonta Smith. Carolina hopes its bye helped injured receivers recover, and right tackle Taylor Moton could return to practice. The Eagles will need disciplined coverage and timely pressure to contain Young and end their skid.
