Bears' Caleb Williams Misses Third Straight Game
The Chicago Bears will be without quarterback Caleb Williams for their Week 5 game against the Green Bay Packers, with Tyson Bagent starting as Williams continues to recover from a Grade 2 hamstring injury. Coach Ben Johnson has described Williams as week-to-week, and reports suggest his return could be at least a couple of weeks away. Running back Kyle Monangai, who rushed for 146 yards and two touchdowns against the Jets, is considered day-to-day with a thumb injury; the Wednesday report also listed a toe issue. D’Andre Swift and several other Bears appeared on the injury report, while Cam Lewis practiced fully and could be nearing a return. Among players eligible to return from injured reserve, Kyler Gordon has practiced fully in recent sessions, while Noah Sewell and Shemar Turner saw their participation dip.
