Parsons Unlikely to Play Against Cowboys
The Packers do not anticipate Micah Parsons returning to practice this week ahead of Sunday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys, according to Adam Schefter. Parsons remains on the physically unable to perform list recovering from a torn ACL and meniscus suffered in Week 15 last season against Denver. The team hopes he returns sometime this month. Green Bay is 3-2 without him after he recorded 12.5 sacks and led the NFL with 64 quarterback pressures in 2025. Coach Matt LaFleur said on Oct. 12 that as soon as medical staff give the green light, Parsons will be out there. He described the required steps: return to the practice field, medical testing and clearance, then time to resume playing football after a major injury. LaFleur called Parsons a physical specimen whose body must be in sync. Brian Gutekunst had earlier cited a new rule allowing the practice window to open after the second game. Joseph Hoyt wrote that there appears to be no revenge game. Patrik Walker said the Packers would also be without Edgerrin Cooper and Javon Hargrave. Sheil Kapadia said the Cowboys have the NFL's worst defense over 22 games since trading Parsons before 2025. Parsons has not been ruled out; exact return timing remains unset.
