Dolphins Sign Cook, Release Hunter
The Miami Dolphins signed quarterback Brady Cook to their practice squad and released running back Jarquez Hunter. Hunter, acquired in a summer trade, did not earn playing time and fell behind other backs on the depth chart, while Cook had recently been waived to make room for defensive tackle Kenneth Grant’s return from injured reserve. Separately, the Dolphins opened applications for the ninth annual Nat Moore Scholarship Endowment, which supports academically successful South Florida high school seniors who contribute to their communities. Applications are open through Dec. 31, 2026, and the program has awarded more than $2.5 million to over 200 students for postsecondary education and vocational training.
