Collins, Jackson Hold Third Maine Senate Debate
Republican Sen. Susan Collins and Democratic challenger Troy Jackson are holding their third debate in a closely contested Maine Senate race that could help determine control of the Senate. They have clashed over affordability, tariffs, abortion, immigration and President Donald Trump. Jackson accused Collins and her husband of profiting from the Iran war, a claim he did not substantiate and Collins called outrageous. Jackson has also focused on immigration enforcement and the fatal shooting of Johan Sebastián Guerrero; Collins called the shooting horrific, urged an impartial investigation and defended preserving ICE. Polling has not clearly shown either candidate gaining an edge.
