Musk Donates Over $276 Million to Republicans

Elon Musk has contributed more than $276 million to Republican groups and his political action committee since July, making him the largest known donor in the midterm cycle and giving Republicans a substantial financial boost. The money includes $158 million for the Senate Leadership Fund and more than $76 million for America PAC, which is building a voter-turnout operation across competitive Senate and House races. America PAC’s spending is concentrated in battleground contests and has favored attacking Democratic candidates over supporting Republicans, with particularly heavy investment in Texas. Its campaign strategy differs from 2024, when the group spent far more overall and focused most of its resources on the presidential race.
