Russia Warns Diplomats to Leave Kyiv Before New Strikes

Russia renewed its warning for foreign diplomats and other nationals to leave Kyiv and avoid traveling to Ukraine, saying its forces would continue what it called “massive retaliatory strikes” on targets in Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities. Moscow said people who ignore the warning would bear responsibility for any consequences, and cited prior warnings and travel advisories from several Western countries. The warning comes amid intensified Russian drone and missile attacks on Kyiv and damage to city infrastructure, including bridges. Russia says its strikes target military facilities and are retaliation for Ukrainian actions; Ukrainian coverage criticized Moscow’s description of the attacks as retaliatory and emphasized that Russia launched the war.
