Texas DA probes alleged ICE vehicle assault
Harris County investigators are examining whether an ICE agent deliberately struck Miguel Parra Hernandez with an unmarked SUV during an immigration operation in Houston, after video appeared to show the vehicle turning toward him as he fled on foot. District Attorney Sean Teare says the footage supports investigating possible aggravated assault with a deadly weapon; he also accused federal authorities of failing to cooperate and raised concerns that vehicle data may have been erased. ICE says Parra Hernandez ran in front of its vehicle, and the operation was aimed at detaining his passenger. Parra Hernandez suffered serious leg injuries and has undergone surgery. The investigation is ongoing, and the competing accounts of how the collision occurred remain central to the case.
