Demers to Trial Blazers TV Role in 2026–27

Travis Demers, the Trail Blazers’ radio play-by-play announcer since 2019, will call the team’s television games on a trial, game-by-game basis to start the 2026–27 season. He will work with analyst Lamar Hurd and courtside reporter Brooke Olzendam, and the team may keep him in the role all season or bring in other announcers for short stretches while it evaluates the broadcast. The move follows longtime television voice Kevin Calabro’s departure after a contract dispute and the firing of Braiden Bell hours after he was hired to replace Calabro, when offensive social media posts from Bell’s past surfaced. The Blazers have not announced a permanent television appointment or finalized their radio broadcast arrangements.
