LPGA Commissioner Calls Good Good Ad Fallout ‘Brutal’

LPGA Commissioner Craig Kessler called Good Good Golf’s Callaway ad, which showed a man shoving a woman, “brutal” and “heartbreaking,” as it drew criticism for appearing to depict violence against women. The backlash cost Good Good its Callaway partnership and other sponsorships, retail placement and a TV series; Kessler condemned the ad while urging room for accountability and learning from mistakes, drawing a parallel to his own apology for canceling an LPGA tournament round.
