Nine Dead in Erie Shooting, Including Two Children
Nine people, including two children, were killed Friday in a shooting at a home on Perry Street in Erie, Pennsylvania. Police said the suspected gunman fired outside before entering the house. Officers and SWAT surrounded the house and a standoff followed. When police entered, they found victims inside. Two women were found dead outside. The suspected shooter was found dead inside, apparently from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities said there was no continuing threat to the public.
