T.J. Ward Criticizes Parsons Over Daniels Comments
After the Washington Commanders’ 27-27 overtime tie with the New York Giants, Green Bay Packers linebacker Micah Parsons criticized Jayden Daniels for a late scramble and failure to get a potential game-winning field-goal attempt off, saying the mistake could cost coach Dan Quinn his job. Former NFL safety T.J. Ward responded that Parsons, who was sidelined while recovering from a torn ACL, should focus on his own career and team and had not accomplished enough to criticize others. LeSean McCoy challenged Ward’s assessment, while Shannon Sharpe questioned Parsons’ contribution to Green Bay and criticized him for calling out Daniels without addressing the Packers’ struggles. ESPN’s Mike Greenberg called it inappropriate for a player to comment publicly on another team’s decisions, and the debate also questioned whether Daniels or the coaching staff was responsible for the clock-management failure.
