Riggs Wins Charlotte Truck Race, Closes Championship Gap
Layne Riggs passed championship leader Kaden Honeycutt with seven laps remaining to win the Ecosave 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. It was Riggs's seventh win of the season and the 12th of his Truck Series career. He started 13th, won Stage 1, led 47 laps and completed a season sweep at Charlotte. Honeycutt led the most laps and won Stage 2. He brushed the wall while defending the lead and finished third, with Christian Eckes taking second. The result cut Honeycutt's championship lead to 17 points with four postseason races remaining. A late multitruck crash brought out a red flag and involved several drivers, including polesitter Connor Mosack.
