Verstappen Wins Rain-Delayed Singapore Sprint and Takes Pole
Max Verstappen won Singapore’s rain-delayed 20-lap sprint, holding off Lewis Hamilton by 2.5 seconds, with Charles Leclerc third. George Russell briefly led before crashing on the opening lap, and McLaren teammates Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri collided on the final lap; Kimi Antonelli finished fourth and extended his championship advantage over Russell to 89 points. Verstappen also took pole for Sunday’s Grand Prix ahead of Leclerc and Hamilton, while Antonelli qualified fourth and Russell is set to start near the back because of an engine penalty. Stewards investigated Verstappen over a yellow-flag overtake during sprint qualifying but did not penalize him.
