Campbell won't discuss firing Lions defensive coordinator

The Detroit Lions’ defense continued its poor start with a 32-26 loss to the Carolina Panthers, who gained 445 yards. Detroit has allowed at least 30 points in three of its first four games, prompting questions about defensive coordinator Kelvin Sheppard’s job security. Coach Dan Campbell declined to discuss a possible staff change, saying the team would focus on improving with its current personnel and adjusting its defensive approach.
