OPEC+ Seven Extend Pause on Oil Quota Increases for November
Seven OPEC+ producers led by Saudi Arabia and Russia agreed on October 4 to keep November production requirements at September levels, continuing a pause in quota increases. The decision comes as the war involving Iran and disruptions to Gulf exports have kept actual production well below targets and prewar levels, limiting the effect of earlier quota changes. The group will continue monitoring market conditions, while decisions on future production levels are expected to depend in part on a review of members’ capacity and 2027 quota planning.
