Wayshawn Parker rushes for career-high 174 yards as No. 15 Utah wins

No. 15 Utah beat Iowa State 31-17 in Ames to improve to 4-0 and open Big 12 play with a road win. Wayshawn Parker scored three touchdowns, including a 54-yard run on Utah’s first snap, and finished with a career-high 174 rushing yards plus 65 receiving yards. Utah built a 24-3 halftime lead, but the Cyclones rallied to within 24-17 early in the fourth quarter before Parker’s 13-yard touchdown catch and Jackson Bennett’s interception sealed the victory. Devon Dampier threw for 206 yards and two touchdowns, while Iowa State quarterback Jaylen Raynor threw for 205 yards, ran for a score and was intercepted twice. Utah’s offense was much less productive after halftime, underscoring a second-half letup despite the win.
