Niall Harbison shares how Rusty went from a life on a chain to gentle days in England

Niall Harbison shared the story of Rusty, a dog who spent his entire life on a chain in Thailand and now lives in England.
Commenters already describe him frolicking in the snow. Harbison gave the name for the years that came before. "He spent his entire life tangled up on a short chain. That's why I called him Rusty," he wrote on X. "To see him now is a thing of beauty. One of the nicest and most gentle dogs you could ever wish to meet." The post drew 19,253 likes.
On Tumton a video post used another caption from Harbison: "He spent his entire life on a chain in Thailand but there isn't an ounce of anger or regret in him. Look at how happy Rusty is now in England." It gathered 1,446 likes, 181 reposts and 30 replies. He repeated the same wording on Bluesky as @niallharbison.bsky.social.
One commenter asked whether that was a bandana while Rusty ran with joy in Yorkshire. Lizzie said she remembered his rescue and found it lovely to see him enjoying his home with a lovely big garden and playmates and even snow.
