Jordan Jersey Sets $14 Million Memorabilia Record
A game-worn, autographed Michael Jordan jersey from Game 2 of the 1998 NBA Finals has sold privately for $14 million, setting a record for basketball memorabilia, according to Hunt Auctions. The buyer was Miami real estate investor Ron Firman. Jordan wore the red road jersey as the Chicago Bulls defeated the Utah Jazz, eventually winning the series and Jordan’s sixth and final NBA championship. The sale is the second-highest known price for a game-worn jersey, behind Babe Ruth’s $24.12 million jersey, and at least the third Jordan jersey from that Finals to sell for more than $10 million.
