Halloween Film Festivals and Attractions Span Four States
Communities in Pennsylvania, Colorado, Idaho and Texas are marking Halloween with film festivals, conventions and seasonal attractions. Tunkhannock’s 14-day Spooky Fest offers 13 free films for all ages, while Colorado Springs’ ticketed Three Nights of Horror pairs classic and modern films with special events. In Pocatello, DarknessCon brings vendors, craft classes, guest panels and an adults-only Zombie Prom to a new venue. Austin’s three-day Ethereal Horror Fest features independent films, filmmaker discussions, a live pitch competition and an LGBTQ+ showcase. Elitch Gardens’ Fright Fest runs through Nov. 1, with daytime family activities and nighttime haunted houses, scare zones, shows and rides, some not recommended for children.
