Shooting at Detroit after-hours strip club kills 3, injures 4

Three men were killed and four people—two men and two women—were wounded when gunfire erupted at an after-hours strip club in a home on Prest near Eaton on Detroit’s west side Sunday morning, Sept. 27, 2026. Police responding found three men fatally shot. The injured were driven to hospitals in private cars with non-life-threatening injuries. All victims were thought to be in their 20s and 30s. Chief Todd Bettison told a news conference a fight and altercation occurred and individuals decided to settle it with gun violence. He said this address is not new to police, which received seven calls there this year, described the scene as an after-hours location—Imagine a strip club. I’ll leave it at that—and said he has leads and will identify those responsible in short order. There is no ongoing threat to the public, he said. Mayor Mary Sheffield called the shooting heartbreaking, said the community should not suffer this violence, urged people to speak up for justice, and said the city will crack down on illegal after-hours clubs.
