Amodei reportedly earned $18 million, mid-pack among tech CEOs

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei earned $18 million in 2025, with most of his compensation coming from stock and options; his base salary and that of Anthropic President Daniela Amodei each rose to $1.4 million in July. The compensation was disclosed in the company’s IPO filing as it prepares for a possible public offering as early as this fall, which could value Anthropic at more than $2 trillion. Amodei’s reported pay exceeds that of the CEOs of Alphabet and Amazon but is below some of the technology industry’s highest-paid executives. The board has also awarded the Amodei siblings additional restricted stock units tied partly to continued employment and the IPO, while the filing does not disclose the founders’ ownership stakes. The siblings and other co-founders pledged to dedicate 80% of their personal Anthropic equity to charitable causes.
