Women Face Charges in Missouri, Florida Neighbor Disputes
In Missouri, Paula Kohensky, 60, faces felony charges after authorities say she fired a handgun toward a neighbor who was cutting a misaligned fence post amid an ongoing property-line dispute. Kohensky told police the gun went off accidentally after she heard scraping and saw sparks, while the neighbor described hearing a countdown before the shot; surveillance footage reportedly showed her pointing the gun toward the fence before it fired. In a separate incident in Gainesville, Florida, Beverly Sue Hollriegel, 60, was charged with aggravated assault after allegedly pointing a long gun at a neighbor during a property-boundary argument. Investigators said video showed her aiming it and ordering the neighbor off her property, but the weapon was identified as a BB or pellet gun, not a conventional firearm. The charges in both cases are allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
