Venezuela Authorizes Starlink Nationwide With Seven Ku-Band Licenses

Venezuela has formally authorized SpaceX subsidiary SpaceX VZ to provide Starlink satellite internet nationwide, granting it a general operating license and seven Ku-band concessions. The authorization brings the service under Venezuelan regulation and oversight, with the company required to maintain a local registered address; officials said the move is intended to expand technology access and digital inclusion. Starlink had already become available in the country earlier in 2026, and the formal approval followed temporary service deployments after June earthquakes damaged communications networks in affected areas.
