UTSA Opens $35 Million Basketball, Volleyball Training Center

UTSA opened its $35 million, roughly 53,000-square-foot Basketball & Volleyball Training Center, giving its men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball programs a dedicated home after years of sharing practice space at the Convocation Center. The facility includes two full-sized courts, program-specific locker rooms and lounges, strength and conditioning and athletic training areas with hydrotherapy and hyperbaric chambers, and meeting and coaching spaces. A creator studio and podcast facilities also support athletes’ content creation and personal branding. With dedicated courts and improved access to athletics resources, athletes and coaches say the center will make schedules more flexible and provide space to train, recover and build stronger team communities.
