US Plans Livestreamed Hasan Firing-Squad Execution
The Pentagon says the U.S. Army will livestream the Dec. 3 firing-squad execution of Nidal Malik Hasan, the former Army major convicted of killing 13 people and wounding 32 in the 2009 Fort Hood shooting. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said soldiers would carry out the execution and described making it public as a way to show the consequences of the attack. President Donald Trump approved the execution, which would be the U.S. military’s first execution by firing squad since 1945. Hasan was sentenced to death in 2013.
