UK Greens Adopt Zionism-as-Racism Policy
Britain’s Green Party voted to define Zionism as racism and support a single democratic Palestinian state, prompting criticism from Jewish organizations and the Israeli Embassy, while the party’s MPs said they would uphold anti-racism. Former Church of England vicar Chris Brain was convicted of further sexual offenses, bringing his total convictions to 22 offenses against 13 women. In the United States, the religious-freedom commission urged targeted sanctions against India’s RSS over alleged persecution of Christians, and a federal judge ruled Oklahoma cannot deny a Jewish charter-school foundation public funding solely because of its religious character. Other religion-related reports highlighted a Super Bowl championship ring donated to help orphans in Thailand and Russia’s review of restrictions on Protestant missionaries following public opposition.
